1. CE Certification

CE Mark, or CE marking as it is officially named, is an obligatory product mark for the European market, which indicates compliance 'certification' according to the requirements formulated in the approximately 22 European 'CE Marking Directives' and subsequent European standards. Therefore, the CE mark is important for manufacturers and importers placing products in the European market.
　　The CE Marking is a conformity marking consisting of the letters "CE". The CE Marking applies to products regulated by certain European health, safety and environmental protection legislation. The CE Marking is obligatory for products it applies to: the manufacturer affixes the marking in order to be allowed to sell his product in the European market.
　　CE is an abbreviation for 'Conformité Européenne', French for 'European Conformity'. The CE Marking indicates that the product it is affixed to conforms to all relevant essential requirements and other applicable provisions that have been imposed upon it by means of European directives, and that the product has been subject to the appropriate conformity assessment procedure(s). The essential requirements refer, among other things, to safety, public health and consumer protection.
　　In year 2001, ‘China Operating Departments’ of CCQS was set up in Beijing that was NCTC, to provide EC type examinations and technical document reviews for Chinese manufactures. In consistence with the CCQS stringent operational principles and traditions, CCQS China offers high quality services supported by a team of qualified and experienced technical experts.

1. CCC Certification

In December 2001, the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China issued the Regulations for Compulsory Product Certification. The Compulsory Product Certification System began to replace the original Quality License System for Commodity Inspection and Safety Certification System for Electrical Equipment.
　　The abbreviation of China Compulsory Product Certification is CCC or 3C. It is the statutory compulsory safety certification system and the basic approach to safeguard the consumers" rights and interests and protect the personal and property safety, which is adopted widely by international organizations.
　　China Compulsory Certification System came into force since May 1, 2002. In accordance with the joint announcement No.38 [2003] by the State General Administration for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China, the time for implementing the supervision and management of the market for compulsory product certification was decided on August 1, 2003.
　　The Products subject to Compulsory Product Certification covers 135 products divided into 20 categories, including household appliances, motor vehicles, motorcycles, safety glasses, medical devices, lighting apparatus, cables and wires...etc. CQC is appointed to undertake the work of compulsory product certification for 17 categories within the CCC catalogue.

1. Certification for Energy Conservation Product

NCTC is committed to test computer, display, printer, fax machine, Integrated Machine and adapters by CEPC. NCTC also participated in instituting the standard of computer and display.
CECP was officially founded in October 1998. CECP was one of the organizations charged with responsibility for fulfilling the requirements of the "Energy Conservation Law" of the Peoples Republic of China. Formation was initiated by China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and approved by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ) and Certification Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA). CECP is a non-profit organization with independent legal status in charge of the organization, management and implementation of the certification for energy conservation products, water saving products and environmental-friendly products and operates under the leadership of a Management Committee.
　　The certification for energy saving and environmental-friendly products is a voluntary program aiming to save energy and reduce emissions through stimulating manufacturers to produce more resource efficient products and helping consumers to make more sustainable purchase decisions.
　　In 1998, CECP began the energy conservation certification program with residential refrigerators. This soon expanded to more than ninety product categories covering home appliances, lighting, electronic, office equipments, industrial products, water saving products and environmental-friendly products.
In light of the rapid development of the decoration industry in recent years and the instability of product quality, safety and health performance, Certification Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) has initiated the compulsory certification in order to enforce the product supervision regarding the health, safety, sanitation, and environmental protection, and safeguard the public benefit and safety.
　　At the beginning of 2004, CECP has been authorized by CNCA to undertake the certification work of China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mainly engaged in the decoration stuff for construction such as solvent carpentry paint and ceramic tile that provides CECP with a new stage for further contribution to the certification work of China.
